development content into instruction. Through thisresearch, the study sought
to gather the opinions of home economics students involved in the project
regarding the importance of linking sustainable development with core sub-
ject content and digitalisation. The results show that the substantive and di-
dactic transformation and enhancement of the course Didactics of Home Eco-
nomics II, by encouraging research and linking Home Economics content with
sustainable development, enable both the adoption of actions emphasising
the importance of sustainable development and a deeper understanding of
the connection between sustainable development content and Home Eco-
nomics. This, in turn, helps to overcome negative attitudes that sustainable de-
velopment content is too demanding for teaching at the primary school level.
Digital technology was recognised as a valuable tool for the creative prepara-
tion of didactic materials and for diversifying lessons, which is why students
emphasised the importance of the thoughtful integration of digital technol-
ogy into the learning process. They also highlighted the need for institutional
support for incorporating sustainable development content and digitalisation
                       into teaching.
