even unemployment. Research is based on a systematic literature review of
seven databases, where we examined the role of employers in empowering
older employees in the AI era. The findings highlight the importance of cre-
ating a culture of lifelong learning (LLL) in organisations that encourage em-
ployees to continuously meet the rapidly changing demands of work due to
advances in AI. In the context of the aging workforce, it is crucial to empower
them, as they are vulnerable in the labour market due to limited digital skills.
LLL serves as a key mechanism for empowering older workers, enabling them
to adapt to a rapidly changing labour market.
