The Matrix of Innovative Physical Exercise Teaching in Early Childhood
Quality, innovative and reflected physical exercise teaching in early childhood
reinforces physical development and it leads to the optimal child’s physical
competence. Therefore, we wanted to identify factors and tasks of innovative
physical exercise teaching which emerge from the educational practice and
to form the matrix of innovative physical exercise teaching in early childhood.
The descriptive and causal method of empirical research was employed. Data
were collected using an on-line questionnaire, which was completed by 388
preschool teachers from all over Slovenia. The results are presented in the ma-
trix of innovative physical exercise teaching in early childhood, which was out-
lined based on Eisenhower’s mode.
Keywords: innovativity, factors and tasks, physical exercise teaching, early
childood, educational practice
