Teachers through the Prism of Educational
Activity at School

This article shall present the often polemical, sensitive field of education in el-
ementary school, which is always diverse in interest. As children’s education is
more and more often shifted from institution to institution, we have decided
to take over the key factors of education which lead to an independent and
responsible adult, and present them to a chosen public. We find it important
that all of us who work in the field of education are aware of the determinative-
ness of a person by the society, as well as of the uniqueness and unrepeated
personality of an individual. With education, which presents the planned part
of socialization, adults influence the formation of growing personalities in ac-
cordance with their beliefs. Parents are of key importance for the process of
education, while the function of teachers is also not negligible. Through edu-
cation, teachers exceed family education and influence the children’s relation-
ship towards themselves and the world in which they live. Although teachers
all agree that their work goes beyond education, they often feel powerless in
the process, without a doctrine and strategies, while trying to shift education
back to the parents.

Introduction
Complementing Family Education in Schools
The education system has not changed much in its essence over the cen-
turies, it presents one of the main pillars of the society, which is trying to sur-
vive in time by maintaining the tradition. Thus, the legalities of an individual
social order are handed over to the younger generations with education and
schooling or socialization. Despite the tendency to maintain the established
ways of life, time brings novelties and changes. The western society is chang-
ing from a rigid and hierarchical community with a prominent head authority
to a dispersed community, where seemingly everything is allowed, while the
authorities are masked by a number of laws.
