Attitudes of Slovenian and Italian Preschool Teachers on the Inclusion
of Children with Visual Impairments in STEAM Activities
Developing the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the challenges of
modern society requires effective education that guarantees equal opportuni-
ties for all children. The STEAM approach, which is based on real-life situations
and promotes interdisciplinary learning, also enables the active participation
of children with visual impairments. Specific adaptations ensure an experience
that is equivalent to that of their typically developing peers. The study, which
included 92 preschool teachers from Slovenia (n =32) and Italy (n = 60), exam-
