The results show that the most important character virtues for music pedagogues are
humanity and wisdom. At the same time, they point out that all virtues are important and
interconnected. Music teachers in their profession experience a great sense of calling
because they feel that they can influence the development of a healthy whole personality
and have the opportunity to lay the foundations of the “island of beauty and harmony” into
which an individual can return to his whole life. Answers from interviewees show that
music pedagogues are convinced that professional calling is an inborn capacity, in some
way a giftedness for pursuing a profession, which can be developed into a talent and even
awakened with appropriate environmental incentives. Teachers are aware of the
contemporary pedagogical challenges that are recognized primarily in technological and
media floods, where quality provision in the educational process is even more important.

which give them the inspiration and design of life.
